When a set of dentures is secured/retained with strategically placed implants, the procedure is known as implant retained denture.
In the past, losing all/multiple teeth meant a set of dentures.
Full arch implants are a great option but tend to be the most expensive implant treatment.
For an affordable and effective option, why not consider an implant-retained denture?
Generally, up to 50% cheaper than full mouth implants, it’s a significant step up from dentures without the expensive nature of full arch restorations.
Once your dentist has fixed the dentures on your implants, you can continue cleaning the implant dentures as you would with your natural teeth.
Another added benefit is that you can enjoy eating all your favourite foods, even corn-on-the-cob!
Your consultation would last about 45 minutes with Raman Sandhu, Principal and Implant dentist.
A bespoke treatment plan will be presented to you with all the options and a detailed breakdown of fees.
Once we review the CBCT scan, we will then arrange a second appointment to place the implant.
It’s a straightforward procedure performed under local anaesthetic.
For nervous patients, we also offer treatment under sedation.
The next step is to allow the implant to integrate with the jawbone.
The integration can take up to 3 months, don’t worry, you will be provided with temporary teeth, so you don’t have to carry on with gaps in your mouth.
At your next appointment, we review the integration of implant and start taking impressions for the denture.
We prepare a cosmetic denture.
You have the choice for choosing the shape of the teeth, shade and even shade of gums so you can have the smile you always wanted.
Crafting a cosmetic denture is a very meticulous job so we may have to invite you back to trial the new denture.
Once you are satisfied with the results, we fit the implant retained denture to give you the smile that you’ve always wanted.
